Monferrato Rosso DOC 2005, Castelnuovo Belbo (Nebbiolo), This is a great wine heavily disguised by its modest title (Monferrato Rosso) as it is grown on the hill above our own vineyards in Castelnuovo Belbo - not a zone recognised as Nebbiolo terroir, but it is nonetheless Nebbiolo and excellent - try it and you will not be disappointed (very affordable compared to the usual Nebbiolo offerings of Barberesco and Barolo). Opening up nicely for drinking in 2008.
